Single-lane closures will occur overnight beginning Sept. 16

ADAMS COUNTY – Starting September 16, the Colorado Department of Transportation and the
contractor Kiewit Infrastructure will begin repairs to both eastbound and westbound lanes of
the I-270 over Vasquez Boulevard bridge in Commerce City. There will be overnight single lane
closures on I-270 followed by 24/7 ramp closures. In late September, the westbound and
eastbound on-ramps will be fully closed for up to four days, but both on-ramps will not be
closed at the same time. Work on this project is scheduled for completion in early October.
This work is a continuation of the work which began in September of 2023. To prevent sudden
emergency repairs and ensure the bridge remains in good condition, CDOT will perform deck
repairs and armor the structure with polyester polymer concrete.
