Southwest Colorado — The Colorado Department of Transportation, with its contract partner, Williams Construction, will begin work on the region-wide chain station improvements project to help ensure that commercial drivers have a safe location to chain up or down while traveling in the high country.
Truckers traveling along Colorado's mountain passes are reminded that runaway ramps can save lives and to never hesitate to use them. There are two ramps located on the west side of US 160 Wolf Creek Pass.
Denver — As part of “The Mountain Rules” truck driver education series, the Colorado Department of Transportation is releasing three new videos aimed at educating and preparing truck drivers — especially those from out of state — for the unique challenges they face on Colorado’s mountain highways.
